Analyze consumer data. Elevate opportunities for reduced losses and improved collections. NCTUE empowers members to make better decisions without increasing risk.
Every year, companies write off millions of dollars in bad debt due to fraudulent account openings, outstanding balances, and unpaid closed accounts (UCAs). You don’t have to be one of them.
By joining the National Consumer Telecom & Utilities Exchange (NCTUE), you’ll gain member-only access to Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)-compliant data on millions of consumers in a centralized location.

Membership grants you access to exclusive industry data and networking events. Membership is open to national, regional, and local companies that provide a range of services, including telephone, cable TV, gas, electric, internet, water, home security, and more. The consortium is governed by member agreements, operating guidelines, and bylaws, while eligibility is governed by the member-led NCTUE board of trustees.
Armed with a wealth of data, member companies improve collections efforts and reduce losses. Member-only products also enhance risk assessment and decision-making — like when to collect a deposit, which services to offer, and at what price.
Contributing companies get a 360-degree view of consumer finances when the NCTUE data is combined with traditional credit data. With the most up-to-date, industry-specific data at their disposal, opportunities come alive.
At NCTUE, member contribution is key: to receive data, members are required to give their data.
When members anonymously contribute data online or through batch uploading, the consumer database grows, making the data even more valuable. You can screen new members for customer service applications and unpaid closed accounts, improving business processes and profitability.
